Commonwealth of Virginia Renews Emergency Care Training Contract with Apex Skills Group
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., May 15, 2011 – Citing Apex Skills Group's (ASG) exemplary 12-month performance in delivering more than 300 training sessions to over 4,500 state employees, the Commonwealth of Virginia's Department of Transportatin has continued its training contract with ASG.
"ASG has provided 100% adherence to the terms and conditions of the state contract. We focused on our customers’ success first and consistently met all requirements on time," said Ellen Endicott, ASG Chief Operations Officer. "ASG's reputation is built on meeting every schedule and deadline to satisfy all our customer requirements."
"Our training program includes everything from ensuring training content meets requirements, providing training materials and equipment, Just in Time (JIT) course scheduling, certification, student tracking, and training evaluation," said Endicott. "ASG utilizes a variety of training methods including classroom lecture, DVD led and hands on skill based training to deliver a consistently effective program."
ASG developed the VDOT training program with mobile teams of certified instructors to deliver emergency care courses in June 2010 to meet the needs of VDOT employees. The Virginia Department of Transportation is required to provide annual First Aid, CPR/AED and Blood Borne Pathogens training for its employees in order to meet the requirements of Virginia Administrative Code and OSHA standards. ASG developed a VDOT training program for delivery of these courses at various locations across the state of Virginia using mobile teams of certified instructors.
ASG is an American Heart Association training site and an authorized provider of Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers and the Heartsaver series for business, industry and government. Courses are delivered by AHA certified instructors; the majority of which are practicing professionals in emergency care.
